Problem: Entrance crystal chandelier over the front door
Scope of Work: This homeowner in the Saanich area of Greater Victoria called us wanting a large entrance chandelier cleaned to get ready for a party. This chandelier had not been cleaned since it was purchased more than ten years ago and was in desperate need of a good cleaning
We erected a special rolling scaffold system in order to safely reach this chandelier for cleaning
We place padded blankets, drop sheets and a suspended “catch net” under the chandelier to protect any crystal and glass pieces from being damaged, should they fall during cleaning
All crystal and glass pieces were hand cleaned with a special cleaning solution & lint free microfiber clothes
Most of the crystal and glass pieces had to be taken off of this chandelier for proper cleaning
Longer strands of crystal were left in place during cleaning
The fixture frame was hand cleaned and all bulbs were replaced with 40 Watt incandescent bulbs
Scaffolding was disassembled and carefully removed from the house interior
The floor area was vacuumed and thoroughly cleaned after our scaffolding was removed
All entrance furniture was brought back into the entrance foyer and properly re-positioned by our staff
Timeline: This Chandelier Cleaning Victoria project was completed in one day by two cleaning technicians
Result: This chandelier looks like new again and refracts so much more light with sparkling clean crystal elements.
