Problem: A very dirty stucco building exterior – this is the first time that we have washed this commercial building exterior for the Salvation Army

Scope of Work:  Washing all the exterior stucco walls, metal flashing details, flat surface concrete areas and all exterior windows and awning glass

  • We pre-sprayed all exterior stucco walls with a cleaning solution then power washed the walls using a low pressure spray.
  • We used a Z60 hydraulic lift to access the high walls around the building and worked from 24′  and 32′ ladders on the back Courtyard side of the building, where lift access was not possible
  • Washed all exterior windows using a combination of Tucker pole and Hand cleaning methods
  • Power washed concrete retaining walls, concrete entrance areas, concrete border blocks and other flat surface concrete areas.  Metal supports for the front glass awning were cleaned also

Timeline: Completed this project on schedule in 3 days with our crew

Result:  The building exterior is very clean and the windows shine!

General Building Washing Steps

  • First the wall is pre-sprayed with an environmentally friendly cleaning solution that removes road grime, algae, and mildew
  • The surfaces are then washed off with LOW power washing spray
  • A soft brush wash method is available on certain siding materials, if needed.
